Sibot – Artist Spot

It may seem like this man has been rocking out behind the booth for ages, that’s because he has and he’s not even in his thirties!

Sibot is by no means a new comer to the movement, and has been able to keep on top of the music scene and culture whilst pushing his own unique style of jaw-dropping hits. The man has come along way in the years, from the days of hip-hop and winning the SA DMC’s to the original Max Normal and the infallible Real Estate Agents as well as his newest musical masterpiece Playdoe.

Sibot is nothing less than a pioneer of the South African music scene. Sibot is and has been a benchmark for music lovers and producers in this country and abroad since forever: I mean Bassnectar plays his tracks in his sets, Toxic Avenger has remixed his stuff, who knows the melody to super evil?… exactly! What more must I say?

The legend that is Sibot is by no means done, riding the juicy bit of the musical wave until it crashes or until we are wiped out by a future millennium virus or have to start fighting the “machines” in Zion- he’s here to stay- and that’s a great thing!
