I’m here – a love story in an absolut world by Spike Jonze

Spike Jonze recently premiered his short film, I’m Here. Financed by Absolut Vodka.

The 30-minute short is a robot love story set in modern-day LA. It is a simple, charming tale of (robot) boy meets (robot) girl. I watched it online earlier today and was very impressed, the visuals are awesome and you find yourself really connecting with the characters.

The whole site is pretty impressive, you start by standing in fromt of the cinema, you then have to buy your ticket [ which Absolut have limited the number of to 5000 a day ]. You then wait in the cinema for the film to begin, it’s quite long so be ready to buffer a bit, but once it starts you can just pause and wait for a while.

I’m Here is a love story about two robots living in contemporary Los Angeles. The sad-eyed robot librarian Sheldon (Andrew Garfield) leads a lonely and methodical life, until he one day meets Francesca, a creative and free-spirited female robot (played by Sienna Guillory). Robot romance develops and the story is just as beautiful as it is unpredictable.
