Murmur (speech), a soft-sounded and quiet utterance/talking “under your breath”

Lyall Coburn lives in Paris and Amsterdam, best known for his global Adidas campaigns. Starting out as part graphic designer, part animator, part photographer, Lyall has literally paved the way for himself in the maelstrom world of photographic and motion media. Forming his own career Lyall has been able to focus on what ever he thinks up, and hopefully sell the ideas to the people he needs to!

Epic, dark and lucid Murmur also integrates motion video and music into concept. Some images being “active” with minimalist, semi-still imagery, complemented by music design from Sibot, making it eerily real and awkwardly spine chilling.

The music for the motion pieces, according to Sibot, was an attempt to make a mood of dark intensity, as if in the room next door there was someone watching or just ‘there’.

Murmur is intense and with such an eerie and ominous subtext, the images may just stay with you a little longer than you might want!
