Site of the Week :: AisleOne.net
AISLEONE.net
This weeks site of the week is pretty unique as it comes in the form a blog. This may not be the conventional blog that you are used to: the dark wordpressed theme with the rolling subjective commentary, no this one is lighter and more inspirational and also has a few nifty coding features.
“This site utilizes keyboard navigation to enhance the viewing experience. Use the up ? and down ? arrow keys to scroll through the site, which takes advantage of a nifty infinite scrolling feature. The site also has two viewing modes that can be accessed by pressing the (g) key for grid mode and the (l) key for list mode. And finally there’s a dashboard that can be opened and closed by pressing the (d) key. It contains other goodies like Twitter Hastags, inspirational links, featured articles and more.” - Aisleone
Aisle one is also designed, based on relative common-based statistics, for screen sizes bigger than 1024 * 768, and for ones with a wider window width than 968 pixels.
Despite this customized design aimed for the best possible viewing output, Aisleone is kept minimal in terms of design percs and colours based on site frontrunner, Antonio Carusone’s, goal of expressing the content of the site clearly and with proper focus.
All in all Aisleone does a good job in providing a great platform for some inspirational work!
