DONT PARTY :: FIRST

Is an initiative aimed at giving South African electronic musicians a decent, and well-deserved, platform to showcase what we have to offer.

The goal of this project was to show South African’s that we are up-to-date and further pushing the boundaries of electronic music. The misconception that many locals have is that local electronic music does not match international standards: Dont Party FIRST proves this a fallacy.

Included genres range from trash house to glitch-hop to dubstep, FIRST is an all-inclusive package that puts the listener at the apex of what’s happening and what’s current in SA. The growing enormity, and international acclaim and recognition, that the South African electronic scene is receiving was a sure-fire confirmation that Dont Party :: First was a great, and well-needed, project to undertake.

100 Copies of the Album were dished out to fans at the Dont Party :: Gtronic edition, and many more are currently going to be shared to fans and followers the world over. With top local artists such as Haezer, Sibot, Mix n Blend, P.H. Fat, Liver, Narch, Richard the Third, Zim Dollar Bill, Enough Weapons, Jam Jar, SFR, Sedgewarbler, Dank, Markus Wormstorm, Mr. Sakitumi and Biscope fitting the bill, this project is a journey through all genres of electronic music that South African’s are utilizing to stamp their dominance in these scenes internationally.
