Brick City was brought about with the sole purpose to help those not so networked in the industry to get a foot in the door. Brick City has helped out a lot of DJ’s get what they deserve in the Cape Town scene and get noticed and further their shit. One of the names that stands out has to be El Gordo, probably one of the most insane DJs tearing it about at the moment.

Recently the brand has been relaunched and mix-tapes have been submitted and collected over the last month or so. The level of skill that has come through for this event has been nothing short of phenomenal. One of the stand outs for me personally has to be DAS KAPITAL. He is young… as in, took his first steps the year Brittany Spears lost her virginity, young. A lot of people have been talking about this kid, have a listen and see what you think. If you not convinced come watch him and the other selected artist at the up and coming Brick City. Fiction the 11th of this month… BRICK CITY GO!
