AB Turbo get carried away!

Check the  debut music video from AB Turbo! The track is called ‘carry me away‘ and I gotta say it looks like finally we are getting our act together when it comes to directing and filming music videos in our country. We still have a long way to go but credit must be given to  Kaley Meyer(director) and Nick James(cinematographer) for doing a pretty tight job, this considering they both left film school no more than 3 years ago! (I know, i was there too )

However I did find the video lacked enthusiasm as it progressed, the set up was brilliant with the band standing in the darkness and then all of a sudden the beat kicks in, lights flash, band members start going off all the while some chick unearths her self from the bath…Its a perfect music video recipe. The only problem is that how it stayed for the entire song! Same tunnel vibe, same panning shots of the vocalist. I felt like it just needed a little spark in the middle to send off the final chapter of the track, but all in all I reckon its a job well done, ‘carry me away’ is a sick song and  the video does it justice.
