People who wear slip-slops in winter

Morning y’all

The wind is blowing like a bitch out there but the sun is shining. Had the best day of DIY at home yesterday, pulled in a creative eye from the Simon Deporres team so feeling lucky today. Got a little shoot at home for Nike today so hopefully I look fresh enough to pull it off. Anyway.

In other news I noticed something over the weekend that I can’t believe I haven’t mentioned before. People who wear slip-slops in winter. This is in the same category as girls who wear mini skirts, summer vests and ugg boots in winter. We all know the weather in Cape Town can be mad temperamental so it’s one thing if you’re out and you’ve got shorts, t-shirts and slops or mini skirts, vests and slops and then suddenly it got cold and now you’re confused. This is not the case though, these people are wearing long pants, think winter jackets, scarves and SLOPS. Why? This shows me that you know it’s cold but you’ve chosen to ignore that fact because you don’t have any nicer shoes to wear. Same goes for the girl in the skirt and vest with no stocking even and ugg boots. Which is it? Winter? Summer? Are you high and you don’t feel the cold?

Disclaimer: I have no problem with slops and jeans in summer.
