Pop goes Pete Wentz!

Pete Wentz has branched off from Fall Out Boy and started a new band called ‘Black Cards’. Now before you emo loving peeps start getting excited as I did when I heard the bands name, let me just say that the preview of the bands first single, ‘A club called heaven’ sounds more like something you would hear at a Balcanology party [Nothing Wrong with that] and nothing like the Fall Out Boy sound we have come to know and love or even Alternative rock for that matter! It seems to fall into the electro pop/Reggae genre and to top it off the vocalist is an unknown female singer…
On an MTV website Wentz stated that his new project was inspired by his trip to Jamaica where he fell in love in reggae but I do not here any reggae inspiration in the music so far, I don’t even here a guitar, which poses the question, What the Fuck is Wentz doing in this band? And what the hell has he been smoking coz I want some!

A bit of a dancehall beat at the beginning, could be the “reggae inspiration”. Wentz plays guitar, bass and keyboards so you’ll probably find that he’s involved in the programming of the beats…
