Who is Jimmy Jump?

Well we all watched the World Cup final and some of us may have seen a pitch invader or “streaker” run on 10 minutes before Kick-Off, now I was at the final and I can tell you he got damn close to the trophy, at the time I thought he was trying to steal it, which luckily wasn’t the case.

What alot of people didn’t realise myself included until recently is that the “streaker” aka Jimmy Jump has quite a colourfull past and history of hijacking major events, including running onto the stage during Spain’s performance at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Norway, and numerous other major world sporting events.

He’s invaded everything from International football games to Waterpolo tournaments, and I may be wrong but it looks like he was the streaker who brought Thiery Henry a Barcelona shirt when he was considering a move a few years back, something I remember quite clearly.

While I was researching Jimmy Jump I stumbled upon his official website where the above video was embedded, the song sounds like the creative works of a mentally unstable serial killer but the pictures show us just how many events Jimmy has “jumped” at.

The South African world cup is alledgedly his last event he will be “jumping” at, so it looks like the famous Jimmy Jump will be hanging up his red hat. All I can say is when I saw him run on to the field on Sunday I was glad to see him get knocked the fuck out by the guy below. However it does appear there is more to this pitch invader than your average”streaker”
