Die Antwoord to play with Aphex Twin in London

We hadn’t heard much about Die Antwoord in a while, but the South African “Zef” super group are clearly enjoying their world tour and are playing some mental gigs. We got wind that they are going to be playing with Aphex twin in London this weekend, when they shared this story on their Facebook page [Click]

I especially loved this quote from the story, “Die Antwoord always seemed to be born out of Aphex Twin‘s classic “Windowlicker” video, so it makes a lot of sense that the South African rap act will perform with the electronic music godhead at this weekend’s London Electronic Dance Festival.” Source Pitchfork. Meanwhile Die Antwoord had this to say, “Yo NINJA and YO-LANDI are going to bum rush APHEX TWINS set at LED to kick some next-level raps with the Grand Master himself…in your fokken face poes”

Pitchfork also confirmed the collaboration with DA’s U.S. label, so according to them this thing is for real. What exactly the collaboration will entail is anyone’s guess, but anyone who knows anything about music can tell you that playing alongside Aphex Twin is massive.
