Guns N’Roses DO IT AGAIN!

Firstly i’d just like to apoligize to all the dontparty readers for continuing to write about these assholes, but people need to get the scoop on what the once ‘greatest rock n roll act of all time has actually become! And its mostly thanks to their frontman Axl “I have corn rolls as a hair style because thats what cool kids do” Rose. Last night the band were scheduled to play in Dublin to a sold out crowd but rocked up on stage over an hour late to a by that stage, a very belligirent, angry and extremely drunk Irish crowd (Thats ALOTTA ale)…Support act Danko Jones played for 70 minutes and went off at 9.10pm. But GnR didn’t appear until 10.30, by which time the restless Dublin O2 audience had begun booing and hissing.

When the band finally got on the stage the performance was lacklustered, unemotional and generally not worth the R900 the tickets were sold at…However eye witnesses say that when GnR kicked into ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, things started to kick into gear, but by that time it was to late…

At that moment some bottles were thrown onto the stage and Rose stopped the song to warn the crowd:“One more bottle and we’re going home – we’re here to have fun but one more and we’re gone.”

At 10.50 another bottle hit the stage while Rose was introducing the band. He said “Good evening” and walked off, leaving the unhappy audience furious. Ten minutes later a venue official announced they were experiencing “technical difficulties” but hoped to bring GnR back on, but at 11.10 the house lights came up and arena staff began advising people the night was over.

I mean come on! I know their rock stars and all, but you’d think that after the drama at Reading/Leeds, they would make a conscious effort to get it on stage on time! How hard can it be….I would really like to know how the band actually feels about the whole situation..Are they really that arrogant that they don’t give a fuck what 10,000 fans think of them? Or are there some under-lying issues within the band or management of the band that the media/public have yet to find out about???

BUT! The night didn’t end there, Oh no…..at 11.25 the band went back on stage and began playing again, to an almost empty room, leaving many of those who’d left even angrier than before. Rose spent the best part of the show downstage with guitarists DJ Ashba, Richard Fortus and Bumblefoot left to lead the performance. Apparently almost directly after the show people started hijacking Rose’s wikipedia entry adding in stuff like “Rose is noted for stealing 80 quid from 10,000 Irish people.” I’d put up the link but it has been changed already unfortunately…

Rose has yet to state who he blames for this latest fan-alienating episode, did his mother never teach him that punctuality is a virtue (Ya, I don’t even think thats a real saying…) …I would love to tell you that this is the last time I’ll be writing about the escapades of ol Axl Rose but it seems to me that things are only gonna get more pear shaped for the rock legend and his band of miscreants..
