Minx Nails :: Finally Achieved

So it’s Wednesday kids!

It’s midweek so that basically means after 3pm it’s the weekend right?

So a couple weeks ago I told you I was going off to finally get the MINX nails I wanted, but then I realised I didn’t tell you how freaking amazing it turned out! I’ve been getting a lot of questions as to how it works, how it stayed on etc so I’ma lay it out for the lady readers in the house (and boys who like nails).

You can pretty much see the process in the pictures, they are basically stickers that come relatively unshaped, it’s then it’s the job of a very patient lady to match each one to a finger exactly, it’s kind of a mission cause you have to be pretty particular but my lady was fab icon smile Minx Nails :: Finally Achieved Anyway, then they sort of melt it on a little I guess with some kind of funky lamp that has nail superpowers or something, and all this while I’m just trying to stay as still as possible and make random conversation.

Once it’s on they simply cut and shape it round your nail, so it’s pretty much 3 basic steps (that can’t be done at home no). I was told that they will only last on my hands for 4 days, and on my feet for 4 weeks (I guess that’s just basic wear and tear), BUT, it’s been 11 days now and they’re not looking amazing anymore but they’re still on and certainly wearable.

So it takes an hour to do, it costs R235 for a full set on the hands and you can get em done at Dante Spa in Seapoint which I think is the only spot in the city icon smile Minx Nails :: Finally Achieved

There  it is. The full Minx nails debacle of 2010.

Happy Wednesday y’all
