CONFIRMED :: POSTPONED
5fm and Big Concerts have just made the announcement that the upcoming Kings of Leon tour has been postponed to November. Apparently Nathan the drummer has torn his bicep and will take three months to recover. We will keep you updated with any developments and the new itinerary as it becomes available!
OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Big Concerts today confirmed that the Kings of Leon tour to South Africa has been postponed from March 2011 to November 2011 in order to allow drummer Nathan Followill time to recover from surgery for a torn right labrum and bicep. Doctors have advised that at least three months will be required for Nathan to recover post surgery to ensure the injury doesn’t reoccur.
Fans who have already purchased tickets for the tour should hold onto their tickets until further details are released. A new itinerary is currently being discussed for November and more news will be circulated to fans next week once venue availability can be established.
Both the Australian and South African tour dates have been affected.
Big Concerts and the Kings Of Leon have apologised to fans for any inconveniences caused by this news. In a recent Twitter post, Nathan told fans “Sorry to all the fans in Australia and South Africa. My bum wing needs more time to heal but we’ll be back later this year. Sorry again”.
Tour updates will be made available on www.facebook.com/bigconcertsor www.twitter.com/BigConcerts
