I live in a world of structure, where love is abused and dreaming is forbidden. Open my world to the experience of dreams, where beauty, music and love combine. Let your beats take me away from this sick reality and expose me to a time of freedom.

  • Albie

ive been supporting origin for the last 5 years. its the best festival year in year out. the line up, the beautiful people, the awesome vibe, and me, my baby and our beautiful energy. cant wait for this one, and winning some tix will be a true gift and blessing. thanks for the awesome prize.

  • D_koutandos

Have never been to a origin festival – would love to go share some energy there, enjoy a good stomp and receive some good energy from the playground! Only reason why I’m trying out for this is because I’m supporting our local trance here in george @ Gwaing river so maybe come a stomp there with me and then decide. P.L.U.R

  • CF

I should get the tickets because I am going to the festival for my birthday :) I would love celebrating my birthday at origin listening to awesome psy beats!!!

  • Maryann

I would love to win the tickets because I work damb hard and I dont get to go to many parties. And because I LOVE TRANCE PARTIES!!!!

  • Chloelmiles

I’m gonna make like I’m at the airport and drop some baggage. Ahem. I need this ticket because I’m pretty keen to stomp my repressed anger about my parents out. Im also very broke and I still need to buy a plane ticket down from joburg. I’m flying down especially for this jol. Did I mention that? Anyway, to sum up: give it to me in my hand. Kthankyoubye

  • frost

  • Maike

Origin is THE BEST PARTY of the year for me & I haven’t been able to part ALL Festive Season due to having to work. No break. No holiday. No beach. No sunshine on my skin. No party madness. :(

Now I am in desperate need to have at least one good, I mean AMAZINGLY MIND-BLOWINGLY AWESOME PARTY before facing the rest of the year!!

Please! Save a starving child & feed it some much needed party vibes before it looses it’s marbles… Seriously! I’ve even got my party outfit all ready to go. I just need dem ticketees. Please. You know you can’t resist this face!! So just give in :)

  • Swaf01

Because i went last year and it was one of the best outdoors ive been to,hands down!

  • Jason Bechervaise

After a hard week at the office, i can think of no better way to spend the weekend than by stomping out the hardships of being couped up in an office all week, at Origin! It would be awesome to afford the tickets and to join all my mates there and to just be put in a trance by the most psychadellic music there is! VIVA LA FREE TICKETS!!

  • Simone Davel

I’m from JHB. Would be a cool present to give to someone in CPT

  • Kel Anne Hawkins

I have never been, so this would be my first one!!!! I have always been out of town for Origin, so hence not being there!!!! I have heard the most amazing stories and now i think it time to try it out for myself!!!! I would love to take my Sister, as this would be her second party and there would be no better way to have a good time with AMAZING PPL and stomp to some psychedelic music than with the sister!!! WHoop Whoope send those tickets my way!!! :)

    PeAcE, lOvE and HaPpInEsS.

  • Tori Vickery

I think I should win these tickets cos I’ve been supporting cape town trance parties for 5 years now. i don’t just go for the party..i go to appreciate the music, the venue, the decor, and the awesome people!! :) origin never lets down on any one of these things!! also, my two favourite dj’s are playing..headroom(who i’ve supported completely and utterly after receiving a free “artelligent” cd when he played at purple turtle like 3 years ago), and commercial hippies!! :) :) desperate to come to this party and can only do so with these tickets??!! :) :) :) the help would be much appreciated!! :)

  • Mikal van Dyk

    why not?

  • Jameskaine

why, you ask, should YOU, give ME, tickets to Origin. thats a tricky one. Im sure there are people that have written many better reasons why than what I can think of. so, why should you give me tickets? because Im asking nicely? with vodka infused cherries. and a swimming pool full of champagne :D

  • Carren Aranes

BECAUSE I’ve never been before and i FULLY enjoy outdoor festivals! I don’t think there’s any better reason than that :)

  • Jared

Because its my BIRTHDAY celebrations and of course my favourite party of the season.

  • Markus Long

I really would like those tickets as I have not been to any outdoor parties during 2011, my budget did not allow for it…this year’s even worse I’m afraid.. It started out positively with me being pretty sober for the new year (giving it a fresh start and all) but being self-employed has it’s ups & downs and it has now come to light that an idea of mine has been nicked and it affects my ability to generate income (expendable)….hence me once again having to tell my mates that I cannot join them on another epic “Origin Adventure”… my life really sux right now!!!!

  • Luke Wright

This will be my last weekend before i begin varsity again and i would really love to end my holidays with a huge bang and what better than ending it with Origin!

  • free as my hair

firstly, i missed love and light and mmd and im still suffering from fomo.(decided to save up for origin rather). im jobless and homeless as from the 1st of next month, and I would honestly be fucking stoked for these tickets!! the line up is sick! so is the venue, and all thats getting me through this week is thinking about how hard im going to stomp, being with a whole bunch of amazing peeps in the fields of psy! last year i went with my psyco bf , who locked me in the car for at least 5 hours.. was GREAT especially as there was hardly any color in my eyes… so single to mingle, and free as my hair please give me these tickets, and turn this failure of a month into an awesome one!!!

  • Teganashley

It’ll be my first time going and I can’t wait! Need to see if it lives up to the stories I’ve heard ;) I want to win so that I can party and stomp with my friends. Nothing beats a Trance party vibe.<3

  • Chane suria otto

Origin- The beginning… The source from which something arises.. To Originate-to come into being.. This is life and it’s beauty in full glory. I have a very special person whom I’d love to introduce to outdoor festivals, trance, stomping and having the ultimate spectacular experience. Don’t Party please allow me to be that-the point at which something,in this case someone, begins it’s course or existence. Allow me to be the source from which my friend will ‘spring’ into being.

  • Aiyana

OriGin…in the name of AweHness* i do BeLieve that this festivaL is January’s highlight!

Not only due to the fact that it brings out the best in us all…the best of psychedelic sounds and a playground for all the BeautifuLOriginaLs.. but ALso because this is my very Own sWeet annuaL Birthday CeLebration Party!! hOw Lucky am i??

i haven’t missed an OrigiN since being back in this BeautifuL place..
but worryingly this year my finances so far has been very slow going… i help dogs recover after they had surgery with physical rehabilitation and the income will only be picking up post party by the looks of it.

so Please be a HOneY ORIGIN and help this Good-Hearted-Psychedelic-Natured-OriGinaL-Birthday-BasHeR to come and CeLebrate her BirthdAY the only way there is xxx

I deserve a ticket to origin because, over the years I have stomped blood sweat and tears into dance floors throughout the seasons. I have partied hard and I have partied fair, I have given and shared and worried and cared.. I have been to countless parties over the years and i would not even like to contemplate the amount of money i have spent on trance tickets…

It just so happens however that at the early eve of this year due to some fairly unfortuitous circumstances, such as totaling a scooter into a wall, and subsequently having to pay hospital bills, buy a new bike, as well as pay layers fee’s as “alegedly” i was somewhat over the legal limit. ;-) I have subsequently found myself with not nearly enough money to attend this party.. And this sucks somewhat as i really want to go to this party.. :-(

On top of this it is my birthday weekend as well.. (ok not really its on the 4th of feb but i really dont want to go to gatecrashers)

Please help me out dont party, if i win i promise to donate hours of boundless energy to the dance floor as well as irie vibes to whom ever i meet there.. :-)

  • Paulski

Hello, I’m Paula a german girl being amazed about the outdoor trance culture here in Cape Town! It would be my first time at Origin but I’ve only heard good stuff about it.;)
I’m here as a volunteer, working at the Township Mfuleni (Power-Child Campus). I want to win the tickets to take two awesome girls I met here with me. They could never afford the tickets but they’re young and energetic and they would so enjoy spending a weekend dancing their ass off!
Both of them (Ziyanda, 21 and Jackie, 25) are working with me here, teaching children, doing a great job. It would be a little township-holiday for them and surely an experience they’ll never forget.
    Here’s a picture of them.:)

  • Bush-doef Warrior

Hello there fine friends :) Origin you say? You see I enter these competitions EVERY SINGLE time there is an outdoor. I wont lie, the other entrants have some pretty rad writing skills which win them some sexy tickets. I hardly know what to say to make you rather generous beings choose me.

I fucken love outdoors and I live for a full on sunrise bush-doef, front left, jamming non stop since 9pm. I can only hope that you fellers choose me. I will definitely be there fizzing front left. *bats eyelashes.

  • Mbali N

Last year at Origin while stomping I met a guy. He was dancing near me and I had been mesmerized by his dance moves when he suddenly smiled at me. After a song or two I finally got the courage to smile back. His name was Alex and for two of the three days we were inseparable; we danced together, swam, ate, smiled, laughed and lived. It honestly felt like I was in my own little version of a romantic film with psy as the background music. I woke up on the sunday to find his camping spot cleared. I only had his first name so I couldn’t look him up on facebook, don’t even know where he or his friends are from. I really want to go back this year and see if he is there but can’t afford to go. My best friend promised to help me look for him please help us find him!

Haha just kidding! My best friend and i have never been to origin before and really do need the tickets as we can’t afford it. Points for creativity? :D

  • John Leighton

i leave the country at the beggining of Feb and just cant afford a ticket, i also cant afford to miss the party so im stuck. Please help me

Origin – The Biginning.. The source from which something arises.. To Originate-to come into being..

    1. My best friend and i don’t have cars in cape town. [This means we are going to have to pay someone to take us which would cost us any amount that someone would decide to charge or take the bus 150pp and we still have to get to the pick up point which would be 100-130] That means just to get to the festival and back would cost around 200-450.
    2. We have never been to origin (we aren’t from cape town, we just study here) and have been dreaming about going since a year ago when we decided to buy a small tent and start going to trance gatherings.
    3. This is the first time that we can’t afford to go to a party we want to go to, normally the universe gives us a way but sadly this time it is only offering one path, the “Don’t Party-please give us tickets” path.

Transport money, food and water (no alcohol or any funny stuff) and tickets. Please eliminate tickets so we can actually attend this party. The tickets would mean the world and more to us girls. Please Don’t Party, we just want to dance. :”(

    • Talia

Think i wrote my email address wrong, please use this one.

  • Mal piet

Oi!! I would neva miss this celebration- free tickets or not. However if i get some freebies ill use the saved money to get “Origin” tatooed bellow/ around and above my left nipple and walk around top-less for ever :0 Yes- i would go through that for Origin, for you guys at dontpartydoparty (ridiculous name by the way)! Peace and love to all

  • Carlo Petersen

Greetings earthlings. My real name is Prince Kenzen from the Marduk tribe on the planet Nibiru. Our planet comes into your solar system every 2400 years and causes all sorts of havoc on Earth, as predicted by our friends the Mayans, who are all here with us here on Nibiru. My father allows me to go to outdoor trance parties to realign my chakras, but this year he has taken away my funds and now I don’t have a ticket for Origin, which is my annual favourite outdoor party! If I win these tickets for my partner (Tarmia) and I, i will request my father King Tiamat to change our course of orbit and give Earth another chance, hence the world not coming to an in 2012. I will also bring our powerful energy of love and light to Origin to share with all, making it the trance party of the millenium! Thank you and Be Well. ;-)

  • Shaheen

My (True)Story: I love Origin Festival because…About 5 and a half years ago, this beautiful and lovely lady friend took me to my first trance party. What a soulfull and eye opening experience it was…the love, the togetherness, the positive energy/good vibes and the amazing people…the way things should be:)
3 Months thereafter this lady and I shared our 1st Kiss at my 2nd trance party. Fast Forward >> 4years and a long mission up the garden route on her bday,I proposed to her camping on a hill overlooking the ocean at a trance party:) Dec last year we spent our 1st Wedding anniversary at a Trance Party. Origin last year was out first Trance party as a married couple:)
Being married and “Grown Up” is very expensive and there is just way too much “Life Admin”(rent, shopping, cleaning, fixing the bath…Aaaaah!!!) that get in the way of trance season.
We’ve been going to Origin 3 years in a row and this will be out 4th time if you make this happen for us. Please help this newly married couple get back to the Stomping ground where we can be children again and play in the sun with not a care in the world but to enjoy that very moment, dancing barefeet, feeling the earth as the bass thumps, bringing smiles to our faces and lighting our insides and souls up *Goosebumps*

  • Mathilda Dv

last year at Origin i had an unfortunate fall on the face sunday morning around 8am.. my first ever accident at a party. not being intoxicated by much but painkillers when it happened (true story), i continued to be concussed and have no recollection of the day whatsoever.. but, a trooper i was (apparently) – stayed till the end of the party, and was still smiling and jamming the majority of the day (apparently)..
now, you might think i’m saying all this in a negative tone, but i’m actually not. it was quite an experience, and a fantastic story for afterwards. so this year’s party, i see as a pivotal step in reminiscing and perhaps in “cleaning the slate”, if you may.

and that is why i think i should be the one to receive the tickets

  • Nicole

I have never been to this party before -
But heard such great things that I couldn’t ignore
The urge that I have to be part of this vibe
    It’s so huge (that I might even be willing to bribe) :P {Jokes!}

Life’s been a bit tough and I need a break
And you my wish here quite could make -
I’d love to forget all my pre-party frowns
So please let me stomp on those breath-taking grounds.

I’m so amped to meet more people to know,
Floating around on my huge pink Lilo -
    In the awesome three dams in which we can wade;
Under lovely big oaks that provide us with shade.

I’d love to hear Tristan and Broken Toy play -
And from the trance floor I doubt I would stray.
With my feet in the mud and my head in the clouds -
I’d love every minute right there in the crowd.

    By the end of weekend my body would hurt;
But I’d be smiling non-stop and covered in dirt –
What an awesome time I would have had –
To have it end would make me happily sad.

Please let me win tickets to this amazing event -
You have no idea how much it’d mean if I actually went!

  • Adam

Congratulations to Nicole for winning our Origin Festival competition! Please check your mail. For the rest of you, thank you for entering, we would have loved to award all of your entries with tickets!

  • Ian

I’m an old trance partier, both literally and as someone who went to the very first trance party held in Cape Town many years ago. Been away for a while so hoping to make it to Origin this year.
