The Superbowl is almost upon us and I’m amped! Not so much for the actual game but the ads that come out during the build up to the game are always nothing short of brilliant. I’ve been scouring the net for as many as possible and these are the best ones I’ve found so far. Enjoy!

Rhino Poaching Paste-up by Faktor [Video]

Rhino poaching has become a serious problem and there have been serious efforts to raise awareness of the problem. A Port Elizabeth based street artist by the name of Faktor decided to use his trade as a away to raise some awareness of the growing problem and the piece is pretty awesome! The piece was pasted up in Stanley Street, Port Elizabeth.

I’m down for anything that would help stop these pathetic excuses for human beings killing our Rhino and even if this post helps bring it to a few peoples attention I’ll be happy. There are loads of ways you can help! One of them I’ve been backing is the Saving Private Rhino initiative.

This in my humble opinion is some great packaging! As someone who studied design and spent many a college afternoon folding and messing around with packaging assignments my appreciation for great packaging is immense! The attention to detail is amazing and the packaging compliments the shoes perfectly! It’s something I would love to check out in the flesh but no worries, these pictures should suffice for now.

The latest Kobe VII System Supreme thematic release features an amazing slide-out shoe box and a themed dust bag. Following suit with the Air Force 1 debut, the release of the Kobe VII System Supreme pair aligns it as the second installment in the four-part series.

I’m waiting with baited to breath to see the remainder of the series!

Nothing sells bikes like some naked ladies! [NSFW]

I’m not really sure what to say about this latest attempt at upping sales by a bike rental company called Stason Bothers. The sexually charged ad features booze, bikes and some scantily clad models using the merchandise in a way I’m sure would be frowned upon by most competitors. It certainly makes me want to rethink my bike rental agency, although I hope they washed the bikes after the shoot…

Thrasher: Top Skateboarding Images of 2011

Thrasher in conjunction with Wired Magazine have brought together a collection of the Most Jaw-Dropping Skateboarding Images of 2011. The magazine runs more than 10,000 photos in print and online editions each year, and while each image may not display the best composition or lighting, it’s the awe-inspiring capture of the skateboarding that make them distinctly fantastic. The common euphemism is that a photo speaks a thousand words, but Thrasher photo editor Michael Burnett has chosen to use but two when describing the photographs: “maximum rad.”

Believe :: A Street Art Documentary

I managed to watch a bit of this amazing documentary this morning and I certainty plan on finishing it later today. It’s an amazing look into a firs- of-its-kind public art mural project that took place in Rochester, NY in July 2011. The great thing about it, is the project featured four leading artists from Cape Town (Faith47, Freddy Sam, Mak1one, Dal). It’s brilliantly shot and is definitely worth a watch.

‘A short documentary which chronicles a first-of-its-kind public art mural project which took place in Rochester, NY in July 2011. The project involved local artists and a group of four artists from Cape Town (Faith47, Freddy Sam, Mak1one, Dal), SA who shared their talents. Several murals were painted in hopes of inspiring the Rochester community. This privately funded project was sponsored by the Synthesis Collaborative, a Rochester-based nonprofit, and has been provided for online viewing by Ian Wilson, co-founder of The Synthesis Collaborative and producer of the documentary.’

Nike Dogs by Vinti Andrews

This is a pretty amazing use of a not so common art medium, English designer Vinti Andrews, has constructed a new series of custom dogs made out of classic Nike sneakers. Hypebeast seems to think the shoes used were Air Force 180′s, Air Max 1′s and Dunk Lo’s. The Dogs also feature traditional canine attire such as a spiked necklace and a heavy duty walking chain.
