Dazed, the magazine took a trip down to South Africa where they met with a fashion collective known as the Smarteez. Comprised of four friends Kepi, Sibu. Floyd and Thabo, the group took them to several of the fabric shops they frequent as well as talk about their inspirations. Watch it after the jump!

Last month we did a post on Deadbeat FM a Joburg based Minimal tech outfit. We try to stay in touch with artists so we can relay information onwards and outwards to you the avid listener, and party goer. Well we got a call from one half of the duo letting us know that they had made the shortlist of 14 artists in a massive global competition run by LOT49

Deadbeat FM is a new experimental tech outfit, spawned from the the unholy union of the Cape Town trance scene and the Joburg breaks movement. With 14 years combined DJ experience between them, the Deadbeat FM DJ/Producer duo is dedicated to bringing a filthy new sound to the South African tech scene.
