I managed to watch a bit of this documentary this morning and I certainty plan on finishing it later today. It’s an amazing look into a first of it’s kind art mural project that took place in Rochester, NY in July 2011. The great thing about it, is the project featured four leading artists from Cape Town (Faith47, Freddy Sam, Mak1one, Dal). It’s brilliantly shot and is definitely worth a watch.

Ronnie K. Pirovino, a major KAWS collector, is the only collector who has all of KAWS’s creations. He’s been carefully collecting pieces by the artist for several years and his collection even boasts few pieces that have never been seen by the public. Conceptual artists Julia Kim Smith has released a new series of photographs and this time she appears to have got street artists heavyweight Banksy in on the action. Check them out after the jump!

In celebration of his 1000th mosaic to be placed in the city of Paris, La Générale has organized an exhibition highlighting a wide range of Space Invader’s works including photographs, stickers, installations and even a Speed Ball machine. Check it out after the jump!

This is just plain awesome, although I do think the final image could have been a little more thought out but the concept is just plain awesome! For the promotion of its energy drink, “V Energy” created a giant paintball machine with more than 840 guns, which are arranged to create a chosen image. Watch the video to see it in action!

Death Cab for Cutie have released a new music video for their single, “Home is a Fire” off the band’s album Codes and Keys, available May 31. The concept for the music video was conceptualized by street artist Shepard Fairey and Death Cab for Cutie bassist Nicholas Harmer. Enjoy!

One of my favourite “street artists” Shepard Fairey recently visited the Windy City as part of the Art Chicago Fair, where he pasted up twelve large posters under a highway overpass. Check them out after the jump!

ROA is a truly amazing street artists based in Ghent, Belgium and he’s fast become one of my favourite street artists at the moment. He’s become renowned for his giant black and white animals and his extremely unique style. Check out his work after the jump!
